Horseboarding 2013 Season

Round 1: Thame Country Fair - 31st March and 1st April

The first in the Living Heritage Series Game and Country Fairs and the first time the National Championships have visited this venue. With the country still in the grips of winter a mere 1°C in the day and -6°C at night, the horseboarders pushed on to start the first frozen battle on the Thame showground.

Round 2: Norfolk Game and Country Fair - 27th and 28th April

The second time the National Horseboarding Championships has visited this 40,000 capacity event. In 2012 it never stoped raining, giving some of the most dramatic drag racing ever seen. This year was clear and warmer in the day, giving good conditions for drag racing and arena boarding in the main arena at the Royal Norfolk Showground. Again, this prestigious venue is part of the Living Heritage Series, and what a fantastic weekend. For the first time this year the sun was out and the arena was four and five deep with people all the way around, with many of the teams commenting on how they had never performed in front of such big crowds.
